About

Lucrecia Trejo Waggoner

Porcelain Installation Artist

My inspiration comes from things that I see every day and what I see when I am far away.

Lucrecia Waggoner - Porcelain Artist

My inclination for simplicity and minimalism in my work is a reflection of my travels throughout the world and especially the Far East. I was raised in Mexico City, where I discovered my love for Pottery. My first memory of Ceramics was at the age of 7, while I was attending an Arts and Crafts course at the Museo de Antrpologia.

My formal Ceramics education continued in Mexico City, and was followed by coursework while I was living in Europe. In 1993, I enrolled at Parsons School of Design where my hobby became my passion, and my passion became my way of life. I am thankful for the guidance of, Porcelain Installation Artist and friend, Heidi Loewen. She inspired me to become a Professional Artist. I am blessed to have two very special children, a wonderful husband, and a passion to transform clay into beautiful art that fills my soul and spirit.
